River Crossings

MICRA began publishing it’s River Crossings newsletter in 1992 as a mechanism for communication and information transfer among agencies, groups and persons responsible for and/or interested in preserving and protecting the aquatic resources of the Mississippi River Basin. Information provided by the newsletter, or opinions expressed in it by contributing authors are provided in the spirit of “open communication”, and do not necessarily reflect the position of MICRA or any of its member States or Entities. Any comments related to River Crossings should be directed to the MICRA Chairperson at 9053 Route 148, Marion, IL 62959.

Beginning with Volume 18 in 2009 River Crossings changed from a bi-monthly to a quarterly publication. River Crossings changed to an electronic only publication beginning with Volume 21 in 2012.

Publication of River Crossings was interrupted for two brief periods, as a result the following issues were not published:

  • Volume 9, Issues 5- 6
  • Volume 10, Issues 1- 6
  • Volume 11, Issues 1- 2
  • Volume 17, Issues 2- 4
